Janis Ian had a rough childhood and was bullied for her weird sense of style. She is an outcast and a feminist. She was best friends with Regina George until year eight when Regina spread a rumour that Janis was a lesbian and because of this, Janis has a bad reputation in school. Other students constantly make jokes regarding her appearance. Although she does not have a lot of friends in high school her best friend is Damian Leigh and she soon becomes friends with Cady Heron. Although she can be rude and mean at times, she is loyal to her friends, and views people and situations very black and white and couldn’t care less what people think of her.
